Rushmore Cup Competition Format

After archers have shot a qualifying round they will be placed in a bracket and shoot head-to-head elimination matches until a winner is determined.

Recurve and Barebow Set Matches- archers will shoot ends of 3 arrows for set points. Each athlete can score a maximum of 30 points. The athlete with the highest score of the end obtains two set points; in case of a tied score both athletes obtain one set point. As soon as an athlete reaches 6 set points, they are declared the winner and pass to the next round.

Compound Matches- archers will shoot 5 ends of 3 arrows for highest cumulative scores. Each archer can score a maximum of 150 points. The athlete with the highest score passes on the next round.

Tiebreakers- in the even of a tie (5-5 set point tie with recurve and Barebow, or tied score with compound), archers will participate in a one-arrow shootoff. The arrow that lands closest to the center of the target wins the tiebreaker.
