Collegiate Archery

Whether you have competed in archery tournaments, enjoy bowhunting, done it as a hobby or never picked up a bow in your life, joining an archery club gives you the chance to practice archery with other people who love the sport.

Why archery?

Joining a college club is available to anyone interested in:

Competitive archery-  there are opportunities to test your skills with other archery clubs in local, regional and national events in all styles of archery  including indoor, outdoor target, field and 3D tournaments throughout the year.

Bowhunting- If you have a passion for hunting, joining an archer team is a way to develop your archery skills year-round including the opportunity to attend 3D events and leagues.

Traditional archery- the great thing about archery is all disciplines and styles are welcome. If you enjoy the traditional aspect of archery you can enjoy that with your club as well and participate in tournaments as well.

New archers- if you have never picked up a bow or that last time you did shoot a bow was to earn your merit badge, joining an archery club is a great way to learn a new skill. Club members and coaches can help you learn skills that will let you enjoy the sport for years to come.

Becoming a member

Club membership is open to all current undergrad and grad students enrolled at a college or university. If you are interested in competing at collegiate tournaments, the national governing body for college archery requires that archers be enrolled full-time, maintain a minimum GPA (2.0 for undergrads, 3.0 for grad students) and have a membership to a national archery association.

If you are interested in joining a club you can find info on clubs in our area visiting the US College Archery Association website: uscamail.com
