Vollmer Appointed NFAA Chairman

National Field Archery Association (NFAA) President Bruce Cull has announce his appointment of Tom Vollmer as the National Bowhunting & Conservation Chairman.

Tom, his wife Natalie and son Jon have been active participants in competitive tournaments as well as bowhunting activities; they have also competed in several state, sectional and national tournaments and have been NFAA members for 20 years.

Tom has been teaching high school for 23 years in Crofton, Neb., and has a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology. Natalie has recently been hired as the newest employee at NFAA Headquarters.

Vollmer is also a certified bowhunter and hunter education instructor and is an NFAA Certified Archery Instructor. He enjoys the outdoors and enjoys all types of hunting with a special love for bowhunting.

He has bowhunted on three continents, Alaska and several of the lower 48 states. Vollmer has been successful in taking several big & small game animals throughout the world. He is committed to the future of bowhunting and has been very active in bowhunter recruitment through the education of youth.

Vollmer's duties will include the administration and promotion of the NFAA Art Young Big & Small Game Awards Program, Diamond Buck Awards, Hunts of a Lifetime Raffle and to appoint Sectional Committeemen-(Bowhunting & Conservation Committee) and all State Bowhunting Directors. He will work closely with the Bowhunting Celebrity Chairman Ted Nugent and the Bowhunting Marketing Chairman Fred Eichler to promote and perpetuate all legal and ethical bowhunting.

The NFAA is the largest archery association in the world with 50 state affiliates, 1000 clubs and pro shops and the Archery Association of Europe (AAE). The National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) and Pope & Young Club are two examples of the NFAA involvement and commitment to Bowhunting.
