United Way & Volunteer Services of Greater Yankton Staff

On behalf of the United Way & Volunteer Services of Greater Yankton, we would like to recognize and thank all those responsible for making our third annual “Shoot from the Heart” fundraiser a success!

Thank you to our valuable corporate sponsors which include, Applied Engineering, Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, CorTrust Bank, Dakota Archery, Eisenbraun & Associates, First Dakota National Bank, First National Bank SD, Johnson, Miner, Marlow, Woodward & Huff, Lewis & Clark Specialty Hospital, Slowey Construction, Subway/Eric Moore, Wal-Mart, Wells Fargo, Yankton Medical Clinic, Yankton Press & Dakotan, and Yankton Sertoma Club. We appreciate your continued support.

“Shoot from the Heart” would not be possible without the efforts of our event Chairpersons, Eric & Chris Moore and Co-Chairpersons, Matt & Abbie Bertsch. Thank you for your time, expertise, and hard work. You went above and beyond to ensure this year's event was the most successful yet, and for that we are grateful.

Thank you to those who donated items for our silent auction and to Steiner's Locker, Don Kettering, Larry Leon, Ken Bertsch, Dakota Archery, Leon Somsen, and Mike Marlow for supplying the wild game. Chef Steve Huff, we always look forward to your wild game appetizers, thank you for sharing your time and culinary skills.

To our local celebrity shooters, Deb Bodenstedt, William “Duke” Ellingson, Donna Freng, Jake Hoffner, Chris Specht and Dr. Scott Torness, your acceptance to draw the bow and aim for the bull's eye is greatly appreciated. Many thanks for your participation and support of the United Way & Volunteer Services.

Thank you to the hunters and professional archers for their participation as well. These individuals include Brenda Aase, Scott Aase, Matt Bertsch, Donna Duncan, Keith Hofer, Jesse Huerta, Tom Juffer, Jae Koletzky, Mike Long, Ron Lewon, Preston Mankovel, DeAnn McClure, Jared Myer, Preston Mankovel, Ron Perron, Kevin Pitts, Michelle Pitts, Chubby Riibe, Jason Sejnoha, Joe Steiner, John Straub, Sam Stukel, Matt Tereshinski, and Tina Young.

A special thank you to US Paralympian, Chuck Lear and his wife Carol for their attendance. It was a pleasure to meet you both and be witness to your archery skills.

We are grateful to the NFAA Headquarters and staff for hosting this wonderful fundraising event and to Nancy Teachout, for all her efforts coordinating and setting up. This event is made possible through your kindness!

And of course to those in attendance, we are appreciative of your participation and contribution to the 2012 United Way & Volunteer Services campaign. Make sure to look for next year's Shoot from the Heart event in February 2013!
