Hello Archers!

We have a lot of announcements for the upcoming month of May! Check out all of the things we have going on here at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center!

 

UPDATE - Easton National Archery League Quarterly Tournament 

     The first quarterly tournament for the Easton Centers of Excellence National Inter-Center Archery League was a big success with NEYAC showing the biggest participation and sweeping the compound division. Congratulations to Robin Matzke, Hannah Bartos and Danielle Herrlein for their first, second and third place finish respectively.
     Our second quarter format is NFAA Indoor 150 shot the first and third Monday of the month starting at 7pm. Come compete with archers from Easton Centers across the country! We hope to see you all there!

Youth High Performance Compound Academy

     Registration for the Youth High Performance Compound Academy is now open. This year we are proud to welcome the 2014 Coach of the Year and professional archer George Ryals IV and world ranked shooter Diane Watson as our guest coaches and pro shooters. Learn training techniques, various competition formats, shooting techniques and equipment review from professional coaches. Registration is open at neyac.org.

 

SAVE THE DATE! - Adult Compound Academy

     SAVE THE DATE! We had a lot of requests for an Adult High Performance Compound Academy, and we are delivering. This year’s inaugural compound academy is scheduled for September 9-13. More details coming soon!

Coach-Observer for Youth Compound Academy

   Level 2 Instructors and Coaches looking to expand their skills now have the opportunity to see an high performance program in action. The Coach-Observer program offers candidates the ability to see top level coaches at work, learn coaching techniques and technical tools they can take with them for their archers. Yankton Hot Shots JOAD Meeting - May 3rd

   Club members are welcome to join in the Hot Shots meeting scheduled May 3rd at 5pm. New official members will be nominated and selected. See you then!
 

JOAD Outdoor Pin Shoot - May 30th

     Put this in your calendar: The Yankton Hot Shots JOAD club will host a pin shoot May 30th for club members interested in earning their outdoor pins. The event is open for everyone. Join the Yankton JOAD to earn your achievement pins. 

NTS Level 3 Coach Certification Course

     NEYAC will be hosting a certification course for Level 3 Coaches. This course is designed to train candidates on the development of competitive athletes in this sport as well as certify Level 1 and 2 courses. All eligible candidates for Level 3 certification can check prerequisites and sign up at neyac.org. 

Adult Archery Instruction Program

     A new program for NEYAC- our adult instruction program is open for archers from all levels who are interested in improving their archery skills. The May/June session starts Thursday May 7 from 6:30 to 8pm. Register at neyac.org.

NEW - Strength Training and Conditioning for Archery Class

     Another new program for NEYAC, this class is designed for archers interested in improving their competitive performance. The focus of the class is to increase mobility, strength and endurance for competition. This conditioning can also help prevent and treat injury leading to better performance on the archery range. The May/June session is open for Monday, Wednesday or both per week. Sign up at neyac.org. 

 

 

Lend a Hand to the World Archery Youth Championships

    We are weeks away from this big event and could use YOUR help to ensure this world event is a success for NEYAC and the city of Yankton. Volunteer sign ups are available at yankton2015wayc.org
